Brookshire, TX | 1099 Contract Opportunity VG Express is seeking an experienced and dependable Delivery Subcontractor/Independent Delivery Contractor to work under our company and manage their own team of package delivery drivers . This opportunity is ideal for an experienced delivery professional, team lead, dispatcher, small courier company, or independent contractor who already has drivers or has the ability to recruit, manage, and maintain a reliable delivery team . You will be responsible for managing your assigned team and ensuring all routes and packages assigned to your team are completed accurately, professionally, and on time. Responsibilities Recruit and maintain your own dependable team of delivery drivers Manage driver scheduling and daily attendance Ensure your team reports to the Brookshire, TX pickup location on time Coordinate package sorting, loading, and route assignments Make sure drivers are prepared and dispatched on time Monitor your team's routes and delivery progress Maintain communication with VG Express management throughout operations Ensure drivers properly complete proof-of-delivery requirements Handle driver call-offs and provide replacement/backup drivers when necessary Address route issues, missing packages, damaged packages, and delivery exceptions Ensure all assigned routes are completed Make sure undelivered packages are properly returned Maintain accurate records for your team Enforce professional appearance, safety, and delivery standards Hold your drivers accountable for attendance, performance, communication, and package handling Team Requirements VG Express must be able to provide and manage a reliable delivery team . Drivers working under your team must have: Their own reliable vehicles Valid driver's licenses Current auto insurance Smartphones with reliable data and GPS Ability to safely lift and carry packages Reliable transportation to the Brookshire pickup location Strong attendance and communication Ability to work independently and follow delivery procedures Previous experience with courier services, Amazon, FedEx, UPS, DoorDash, Spark, Roadie, Veho, last-mile delivery, dispatching, or managing delivery drivers is strongly preferred. Professional Dress Code You are responsible for making sure your entire team reports to work clean, professional, and ready to represent VG Express appropriately. Closed-toe shoes required Safety vest required while working Clean and professional clothing appropriate for delivery work No pajamas, slippers, house shoes, or inappropriate clothing Professional conduct is required when interacting with customers, warehouse personnel, dispatch, clients, and management Compensation & Growth Compensation will be based on the routes/package volume assigned to your team and the agreed contractor structure .
