Exempt SUMMARY:
Manage and coordinate warehouse activities to support IRIS customers. Oversee day-to-day operating procedures and management of related personnel. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Hire, manage, train, and evaluate Distribution department personnel using performance management and corrective action tools to ensure effective productivity and customer service Monitor day-to-day activities in the Maker, Vendor, and Ecommerce divisions to ensure customer shipments are met on time and with accuracy Monitor traffic of customer orders and communicate to various departments in order to prioritize and optimize sales Develop and recommend continuous process improvement Monitor established budget/plan to actual expenses to maximize profitable work center Supervise warehouse activities, which include product storage, picking, packing, routing, loading, shipping and invoicing of customer orders in accordance with IRIS USA, Inc. policies and procedures and customers' vendor compliance manuals Facilitate distribution support functions, which include facility transfers and assisting Production Maintain safe work environment and good housekeeping by monitoring daily activities and enforcing safe work practices Manage inventory record accuracy through training and enforcing proper scanning procedures Assist with customer audits to supply chain procedures, quality standards, and safe work practices Manage maintenance and proper use of company assets assigned to the distribution department Manage material handling and equipment leases Effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders using multiple tools to ensure effective visual communication Perform similar level or nature of duties as assignedQualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field; or Three (3) years supervisor experience in a distribution facilityKnowledge of:
Management principles Safety/OSHA principles Supply chain principles Customer service principles Warehouse basic processes Inventory principles Basic financial reports such as profit and loss Product specifications and terminology Skill in: Using computer hardware, including keyboard, mouse, monitor, printers, and related hardware Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook Using product picking scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, and related automated heavy equipment used in warehouses Ability to: Perform intermediate math, using Microsoft Excel to find percentage, average, median, quartile, standard deviation, minimum, maximum, and range values Present data and information in a variety of methods Continuously challenge oneself and others to improve better operating practices Act with urgency Review data and ensuring accuracy and timeliness and relevancy Identify causation of variances Multi-task under strict deadlines while having multiple priorities at one time Exhibit positive attitude and openness to learning Effectively communicate and work in a cross-cultural environment Demonstrate high-level organization and planning Exercise independent motivation Apply strategic planning foresight Follow verbal and written English instructions Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written Exhibit courteous and respectful demeanor towards all company personnel in words and action Exhibit a cooperative, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving Build teamwork and resolve conflicts Work independently with minimal supervisionPhysical Demands:
