This role oversees picking, packing, shipping, and distribution processes while maintaining high standards of productivity, accuracy, and service. The Senior Outbound Manager plays a key role in establishing and maintaining outbound workflows, optimizing routing strategies, and ensuring seamless coordination between fulfillment, transportation, and store delivery operations. Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures is treated as a point of pride by you and by everyone on your team. Drive continuous improvement. Identify and implement opportunities that make the operation faster, more accurate, and more cost-effective — and bring the team along in the process. Connect inbound to outbound. Stay aligned with inbound and inventory teams so product availability never becomes the reason an order is late. Be the voice the floor trusts. Maintain strong communication with Customer Service and store operations and resolve order and shipment issues before they become larger. Report with insight, lead with improvements. Deliver leadership reporting that goes beyond status updates bringing context, analysis, and a clear point of view on what's next. Qualifications and Requirements 5+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment operations, with a focus on outbound or shipping functions. 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of picking, packing, shipping, and order fulfillment processes. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS/OMS/TMS) and order flow management. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills Experience in retail or e-commerce distribution environments. Familiarity with store distribution models, routing, and delivery logistics. (covers pick/pack/ship zones) Knowledge of transportation coordination or delivery models (e.g., multi-stop routing, scheduled deliveries). (captures milk run concept cleanly) Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and improve operational KPIs.
