ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide strong leadership and management in all processes related to the receipt and distribution of the Company's product. Develops site specific facility processes and metrics to enhance the current operating system. Develops and mentors the distribution center personnel and achieve performance objectives, to include maintaining constant dialogue and providing direction and guidance. Schedule and receive all inbound product timely and accurately, following company SOP's. Ensures accurate placement of all inbound product to proper pick and/or stock locations throughout the warehouse. Conduct regular cycle counts per company SOP to ensure accuracy of on-hand inventory. Ensure product and warehouse layout is updated to support capacity requirements and maximize warehouse thru-put. Ensure daily routing function is completed to support all customers' orders, adhering to all DOT requirements, and customer receiving hours, while maximizing delivery efficiency. Conduct monthly safety meetings to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. Schedule all warehouse & delivery employees work hours, and process payroll. Develop annual operating budget, process all accounts payable invoices, and manage all operating expenses. Review financial reports to ensure accuracy of facility expenses. Maintains a safe work environment and provides forklift training, safety meetings, and driver training as needed as per all Company, State, and Federal regulations. Properly maintain all material handling equipment and vehicle fleet. Ensures compliance to all federal and state regulations, in addition to Company policies and procedures, and all SOP's are adhered to on a daily, monthly, yearly basis as needed. Complete all administrative tasks as needed, timely and accurately. Work closely with HR Generalist and manager on all employee performance related issues. All other tasks as assigned by manager or Operations leadership team.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Operate material handling equipment including but not limited to Sit-Down forklifts, Stand-up forklifts, Stock-pickers, and electric pallet jacks as needed. Attends departmental meetings and functions. Arrives to work, meetings, appointments and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled. Follows all safety policies and procedures; communicate hazards and/or suggest improvements to Manager Other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office and warehouse environment. May be subjected to loud noise, temperature and weather extremes, occasional overtime and travel may be required as per the business needs.
EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY USED
Office equipment including telephone, fax machine, copier, computer, calculator, and printer. May use pallet jacks, forklifts, cherry picker, reach truck, and voice pick system.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, sitting, standing, manual dexterity, reaching, visual acuity.
MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field or High School diploma with a minimum of five (5) years in Distribution Operations. Minimum of 5 years' experience supervising/managing a warehouse and transportation team and facility. Demonstrated intermediate computer skills in both Microsoft Excel and Word. Demonstrated use of Warehouse Management and RF scanner. Demonstrated excellent communication skills and effective written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including but not limited to Sit-Down forklifts, Stand-up forklifts, Stock-pickers, and electric pallet jacks is preferred. Certified MHE trainer is preferred. Demonstrated ability to multi-task, has strong attention to detail, and proven ability to prioritize effective and efficiently.
