Job Description
Warehouse Manager Position Summary The Svaha USA Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day warehouse operations, personnel management, inventory coordination, and facility organization. This role ensures efficient warehouse processes, timely shipments, accurate inventory management, and a safe, organized working environment. The Warehouse Manager will also support operational improvements, employee oversight, and warehouse-related projects. You will oversee two warehouses - one in Manassas, VA and one in Sterling, VA. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations & Team Management Supervise and manage warehouse personnel, including delegating daily responsibilities and monitoring performance. Conduct interviews and coordinate new hire interviews with leadership. Manage warehouse employee schedules, timesheets, and PTO requests. Address employee concerns, performance issues, or misconduct, escalating matters to management when necessary. Maintain a collaborative and productive warehouse environment. Warehouse Support & Process Oversight Maintain a strong understanding of all warehouse functions and warehouse software, including shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and inventory control. Step in to assist with warehouse duties as operational needs require. Ensure workflows are efficient and completed accurately and on schedule. Inventory & Warehouse Management System Develop and maintain a full understanding of the warehouse management system (WMS). Coordinate with internal teams to improve system functionality and report bugs or operational issues. Monitor inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies or inventory concerns. Shipping & Vendor Coordination Coordinate inbound shipments with vendors, freight partners, and internal stakeholders. Monitor shipment timelines and ensure deliveries arrive on schedule. Communicate proactively regarding shipment delays or logistical concerns, as well as issues with shipments once arrived. Facility & Supply Management Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and properly labeled. Maintain adequate stock of warehouse supplies, office supplies, and employee breakroom/snack items. Promote warehouse safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. Project Management Oversee warehouse-related projects such as: Facility permitting Signage installation Lighting improvements Warehouse reorganizations Process improvement initiatives Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed to complete projects successfully. Qualifications Previous warehouse management or supervisory experience preferred. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Experience with warehouse management systems and inventory tracking. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Google Suite and warehouse software systems. Ability to lift and move materials as needed and assist with warehouse operations when required. Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs.
