- $62,000 annually Job Summary The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all cannabis inventory operations across Jet Room facilities, with a primary focus on METRC compliance, seed‑to‑sale tracking, regulatory reporting, and cross‑departmental coordination .
This role ensures all cannabis activity—including intake, processing, packaging, labeling, waste, and transfers—is accurately reported in METRC and any internal tracking systems. The Inventory Manager collaborates with cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and retail teams to maintain full compliance, operational accuracy, and audit readiness. This position reports directly to the AGM/GM and Executive Management (EM) . Track & Trace Compliance (METRC & Internal Systems) Report all cannabis activity in METRC related to intake, processing, packaging, labeling, waste, and product movement. Track and trace all cannabis inventory from seed to sale using METRC and any federal, state, county, city, or internal tracking systems. Maintain accurate METRC documentation for all phases of the cannabis lifecycle. Ensure all regulatory‑required information is reported promptly to the appropriate government entities. Maintain inventory of METRC tags, labels, packaging, and supplies required for compliance. Develop internal SOPs for systems administration, tag assignment, tag transfers, and auditing processes. Ensure each department remains compliant with government and internal track‑and‑trace requirements. Train all employees who log or label cannabis to ensure full regulatory compliance. Seed‑to‑Sale Lifecycle Oversight Monitor cannabis lifecycle stages, including cloning, vegging, flowering, harvesting, drying, processing, and order fulfillment. Collaborate with the Cultivation Facility Lead Inventory Tech to ensure accurate lifecycle tracking. Ensure proper labeling and documentation at every stage of the product lifecycle. Prepare and oversee product transfers between licenses, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Inventory Management & Auditing Conduct routine audits of inventory quantities and reconcile results with METRC. Investigate and correct discrepancies, variances, or shrink. Maintain accurate digital and physical inventory records. Ensure successful execution of all inventory processes across facilities. Provide consistent inventory status reporting—verbally and in writing—to executive leadership and ownership. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work with Sales and Distribution to ensure seamless METRC transfers during order fulfillment. Generate facility‑wide inventory sales menus based on current bulk, upcoming inventory, and pre‑packaged products. Collaborate with Inventory Techs across all facilities to maintain accurate, real‑time inventory visibility. Coordinate with manufacturing, processing, and packaging teams to maintain supply chain continuity. Maintain supply chain for all items needed for cannabis processing, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, and distribution. Leadership, Training & SOP Enforcement Train employees on METRC, labeling, compliance, and inventory SOPs. Develop a thorough understanding of all inventory SOPs for implementation in new and existing markets. Ensure uniform application of SOPs across all departments. Provide coaching, corrective action, and performance support as needed. Reporting & Executive Communication Provide consistent written and verbal inventory status updates to executive leadership. Conduct weekly meetings to communicate status, directives, and compliance updates to executive management. Prepare and distribute inventory reports, compliance summaries, and audit findings. Cannabis Knowledge & Technical Expertise Maintain working knowledge of METRC and all traceability requirements. Possess in‑depth understanding of cannabis plant symptom diagnosis, causality, and remedy application. Maintain working knowledge of cannabis product types, packaging requirements, and regulatory standards. Travel Requirements Frequent travel for facility inspections, media events, and investor meetings as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities This position supervises inventory associates, inventory techs, and cross‑facility inventory support staff. Reports To Assistant General Manager, General Manager, and Executive Managers (EM) Working Conditions Professional retail, warehouse, and cultivation‑adjacent environments. Regular use of computers, scanners, METRC, POS systems, and office equipment. Flex schedule required, including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and lift. Frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach, and move product safely. Basic Qualifications Minimum 21 years of age. 1-2 years of cannabis inventory or METRC experience. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, METRC, and POS systems. Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast‑paced environment. Must pass all required background checks. Preferred Qualifications Advanced METRC experience. Experience supervising or training staff. Strong understanding of cannabis regulations and compliance.
