Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development and implementation of processes and procedures improving service strategy and cost control plan of the business for entire operations Coordinates with other operational resources, developing the strategic and tactical direction for all locations, establish management processes and metrics for performance and be accountable for financial performance of the logistics business. Build a company, develop high-level service offerings, motivate and lead staff. Strong negotiation ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity) Develop and execute business plan strategies for operations Develop & manage KPIs for logistics Performing special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Senior Group General Manager and other senior management for operations. Work within and implement company policy as outlined in the companies Code of Safe Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and OSHA Safety rules Perform other duties as assigned in SGGM.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong leadership abilities in proven logistic field Ability to build trust and confidence with management and supervision Strategic thinking and leadership skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced changing environment, ability to multi-task a must Strong organizational skills and ability to work as a cross-functional team member. Analytical skills with the ability to multi-task Computer proficiency, including Planner, Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio Sense of urgency in order to deliver consistent service to the customer Excellent communication skills at all levels Entrepreneurial Team player Must be Willing to Travel Ability to communicate with employees at all levels Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications High level of computer and TMW system literacy. Strong computer skills required; with knowledge in MS Office, Excel and WMS system literacy Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to manage and lead a diverse workforce. Education and/or
