The Sales and Operations Engineering team in IS&T is looking for an experienced leader to lead the Product Management and Engineering teams responsible for delivering Apple's Supply Chain Planning and Optimization systems. This leader will define platform strategies and product roadmaps, build and operate the systems that manage these processes, and integrate them within Apple's overall systems landscape. Description In this role, you will be responsible for defining the platform architecture and strategy, product roadmaps, and building and operating systems that support the Supply Chain Planning and Optimization space. This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain planning systems and technologies and the ability to manage complex, global, enterprise-level initiatives supporting a wide range of business stakeholders. This role also has leadership responsibility over a global engineering team, located in the US (California and Texas), India (Hyderabad), Ireland (Cork), and Singapore. The scope of this portfolio includes, but is not limited to, platforms that manage the following areas: Demand Sensing/Forecasting; Materials/Component/Subcomponent Planning; Finished Goods Planning; Service Part Planning; Material and Inventory Positioning; Sales Channel Replenishment; Network and Transportation Capacity Planning; Manufacturing Production Scheduling; Strategic and Tactical S&OP.","responsibilities":"Partnering with the various business stakeholders across Operations and AppleCare to define the supply chain planning strategy and capability roadmap, and translate that into relevant product roadmaps. Defining the overall platform architecture and strategy that support the supply chain planning and optimization space. Researching and engaging with external vendors and service providers to assess feasibility and fit within our product ecosystem. Managing and delivering on complex, multi-year, global capability roadmaps that align with business strategies. Providing functional and technical subject matter expertise and thought leadership to inspire innovation and influence business strategy. Managing a large portfolio of engineering programs from a funding, resourcing, and timeline perspective. Providing organizational leadership to this function, including org design, leadership and technical skills development, hiring strategy, and managing total cost of ownership. Building and leading a high-performing team of managers and individual contributors to deliver innovative, scalable solutions. Acting as a liaison between the supply chain planning IS&T team and other internal partners across the business and IS&T to design and deliver integrated solutions to the business. Influencing decisions and managing change through collaboration, leadership, and a customer-focused approach. Managing operational issues and escalations. Quickly assessing and developing root cause analyses and solutions. Defining and implementing critical metrics to measure the team's success. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a technical field or an MBA is desirable Excellent leadership and organizational management skills. Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills with the ability to adapt one's style based on the level of the audience. Ability to synthesize and translate complex technical discussions into business conversations. A deep and persistent attention to detail. The ability to exert influence in a highly matrixed organization. The ability to maintain a focus on simplicity while handling complex challenges. The ability to recognize, attract, and develop talent. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Minimum Qualifications BA/BS Degree plus 15+ years of relevant experience 15+ years of progressive experience with a minimum of 10+ years of senior leadership experience responsible for global supply chain systems transformation, preferably in the high-tech/consumer electronics / retail industries. Broad expertise in all areas of supply chain planning and optimization systems, including industry trends, vendors, products and services, and experts available in the market. Deep expertise in researching, piloting, and applying advanced technologies (AI/ML, etc.) to supply chain planning solutions, with a focus on achieving greater autonomous decision-making. Deep product and portfolio/project management experience
  • able to define long-term strategic roadmaps combined with the ability to execute at the tactical project level.
Strong background in defining enterprise technology & systems architecture, with a focus on achieving highly performant and scalable solutions. Strong background in building and leading high-performing engineering teams to deliver complex, large-scale enterprise systems. Expert at leading multiple, matrixed global teams and fostering a strong culture of collaboration and results. Proven ability to lead, inspire, and motivate teams; leads through empowerment and influence. Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $283,100 and $452,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
