Responsibilities The Used Car Manager is responsible for overseeing the acquisition and management of the dealership's used vehicle inventory. This role requires advanced knowledge of vAuto, CDK, inventory control, and reconditioning processes, along with a proven track record as a successful Used Car Manager. Utilize vAuto daily to price to market, drive inventory turn, and maximize profitability. Control reconditioning flow to ensure timely frontline readiness. Maintain inventory health, aging strategy, and acquisition balance. Oversee vehicle appraisals and acquisition decisions based on market data and trends. Lead department execution to meet dealership and group performance goals. Leverage auction platforms and market tools to optimize purchasing decisions. Build and maintain strong industry relationships through effective negotiation.
