Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain/Logistics Manager to lead trade compliance and regulatory operations for a retail organization in Torrance, California. This position oversees import and export compliance programs, strengthens internal controls, and ensures alignment with applicable customs and government trade requirements. The role also partners closely with logistics, supply chain, operations, and leadership teams to reduce risk, improve processes, and support efficient cross-border movement of goods.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct regional customs and trade compliance activities, ensuring import and export operations meet applicable regulatory obligations.
  • Supervise and develop the regulatory control team, offering expert guidance on complex compliance matters and day-to-day execution.
  • Manage key compliance areas such as tariff classification, licensing, permits, certifications, and import/export control requirements.
  • Create, refine, and maintain policies, standard operating procedures, and internal control measures that support consistent regulatory adherence.
  • Track regulatory developments, evaluate potential business impact, and implement timely corrective actions to address identified risks.
  • Lead internal audits, compliance reviews, and risk reduction initiatives to strengthen oversight and preparedness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across logistics, supply chain, operations, and senior management to align business practices with trade regulations.
  • Drive projects that enhance compliance performance, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness across supply chain and logistics functions.
  • Oversee specialized regulatory programs, including government agency requirements and bonded warehouse compliance obligations where applicable.
