In this pivotal role, you will oversee the efficient management of stockroom activities, ensuring seamless coordination between procurement, logistics, and distribution. Responsibilities Oversee daily warehouse distribution activities, including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping & receiving processes. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as AS400 and SAP, and data analytics tools like Power BI and Tableau to monitor inventory levels, analyze trends, and inform decision-making. Lead category management initiatives by analyzing sales data (e.g., Nielsen reports), pricing strategies, and supplier performance to optimize procurement and sourcing efforts. Conduct root cause analysis to identify inefficiencies or discrepancies in inventory management, implementing process improvements for increased accuracy and efficiency. Manage logistics inventory management, materials handling, demand planning, and production planning to ensure optimal stock levels across all categories. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable contracts, pricing, and delivery terms while maintaining strong supplier relationships. Coordinate cross-functional communication among procurement, warehouse operations, finance, and merchandising teams to streamline workflows. Supervise forklift operation and heavy lifting tasks ensuring safety compliance; oversee shipping & receiving activities for timely order fulfillment. Perform financial analysis related to inventory valuation, cost control, and supply chain analytics to support strategic planning. Develop data visualization dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover rates and supply chain efficiency metrics. Experience Proven experience in warehouse management or supply chain roles with a strong background in warehouse operations, logistics inventory management, and materials handling. Demonstrated expertise in using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms (such as AS400 or SAP), SQL for data collection and analysis, Excel data analysis skills, and inventory management software. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis, financial modeling, demand planning, and data analytics to inform strategic decisions. Experience negotiating contracts with suppliers or vendors; familiarity with sourcing strategies is highly desirable. Hands-on experience operating forklifts; safety certifications preferred. Knowledge of procurement processes, category management principles, and supply chain analytics including demand forecasting and production planning. Excellent cross-functional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Technical proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Nielsen reports, MRPs (Material Requirements Planning), Excel spreadsheets for data analysis, and warehouse management systems like ERP platforms or inventory control software.
