Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse/Logistics Operations professional responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all warehouse and logistics operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods. This position oversees receiving, inventory control, storage, order fulfillment, shipping, transportation coordination, and warehouse personnel while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This position is responsible for achieving operational excellence, controlling costs, and providing exceptional customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee receiving, inspection, storage, inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping activities. Coordinate inbound and outbound freight with carriers, customers, and vendors. Develop staffing plans and with the Warehouse Supervisor, oversee drivers and warehouse operations personnel. Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate warehouse personnel. Ensure accurate inventory through cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation. Monitor warehouse productivity and establish key performance indicators (KPIs). Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy. Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety programs. Ensure employees are properly trained on forklifts and other material handling equipment. Oversee maintenance and safe operation of all company vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, racking systems, and warehouse equipment.\ Resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged freight, and customer service issues. Analyze operating costs and implement cost-saving initiatives. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste. Ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA requirements when coordinating transportation operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Five or more years of progressively responsible warehouse and logistics management experience. Experience managing warehouse teams in a distribution or transportation environment. Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP software. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Skills Strong knowledge of
