Logistics Branch Director Posted on October 15, 2025 October 15, 2025 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Logistics Branch Director to lead the daily operations, performance, and growth of a logistics branch. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in transportation, supply chain, and logistics management, with a proven ability to drive operational excellence, optimize efficiency, and lead high-performing teams. This position plays a critical role in shaping branch strategy, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving business growth. Position Responsibilities Operational Leadership
- Oversee and manage daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and implement short-term operational plans and objectives in line with the company's strategic vision.
- Drive productivity through effective resource allocation, process optimization, and employee engagement.
- Ensure smooth execution of logistics functions including air, ocean, local distribution, drayage, and warehouse operations. Performance and Process Management
- Monitor branch performance metrics and financial targets, preparing regular reports on revenue, cost, and service quality.
- Apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and quality across all operational processes.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues such as service delays, incidents, or claims to maintain service integrity.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. Team Development and Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and motivate staff to achieve individual and team goals while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Oversee all aspects of human resource management including recruitment, performance evaluation, training, and career development.
- Conduct daily and weekly meetings to review operations, share updates, and ensure alignment on key objectives. Client and Business Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Support sales initiatives and assist in securing new business opportunities within and beyond the existing customer base.
- Ensure that customer requirements are met with high-quality logistics solutions and timely service delivery. Prerequisites
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management required.
- Minimum of 13 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience managing logistics operations or branch-level teams.
- Deep understanding of international transportation, freight forwarding, and distribution operations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and logistics management systems (TMS/WMS preferred).
- Ability to travel up to 10% within the U.S. Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- PMP (Project Management Professional) What the Role Offers
