As the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for demand planning, forecasting and customer care for select clients. What you'll do on a typical day: Lead/direct planning-related functions of the distribution center, eg, plan and schedule inbound receipts and outbound shipments, replenishment activities, inventory slotting, capacity analysis, order prioritization and expedite processing Develop and execute operational level reporting for site level leadership team and the client Support Operations teams to ensure service level standards are met; adhere to all contractual obligations and ensure client compliance Identify growth opportunities with current customers by promoting enhanced services and/or cost savings to the customer, partner with site leadership in all customer visits, conference calls and problem-solving efforts Track, record and maintain planning and operations-related data; deploy planning-based metrics to ensure optimized operational efficiencies Support the identification and deployment of cost-saving initiatives through deployment of planning based continuous improvement initiatives within the site Handle all direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, setting expectations, training and development, conducting performance reviews, etc. What you need to succeed at
