Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsible for detailed backup for the purchasing function in order to achieve efficient operation following established procedures and to assist the Director of Materials Management and Materials Management Clerk II by handling routine purchases. Will provide and maintain supplies at the minimum stock amount without the endangerment of putting at risk this facility or community. Will help reduce cost and overall operation in accordance with EMC standards. Keeping in mind the facilities mission and visions policy. Participates and maintains performance improvement activities to assure highest standard of the facility for the purpose of
JCAHO. MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School diploma or
GED License:
None Experience:
Minimum of one-year experience in computer usage.
PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS
Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the work day, lift and/or move up to 70 lbs. Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned. External and internal applicants who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential job functions either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case-by-case basis. Position has a moderate expected exposure to blood borne pathogens.
