Job Summary:
Responsible for developing, enhancing and leading strategic projects, programs or processes that optimize pharmacy inventory management. These strategies will be focused on, but not limited to, supply chain distribution for categories of drugs, specific drugs and general Rx products. The Sr. manager must also provides work leadership and training to the other managers on the team. This position must seek out improvement opportunities within the department and would have more responsibility and accountability within the department on complex requests, either in completing the requests themselves or overseeing projects by other group members.
Job Responsibility:
Develops and recommends IT programs and enhancements to the inventory management systems that optimize the purchasing and distribution of pharmacy products. Collaboration with internal and external teams and consultants is expected. Participates in negotiating the purchase of systems or consultant services.
Designs and develops new process and programs for the distribution of specific pharmaceutical that fall outside the parameters of the current system parameters.
Obtains and allocates resources to meet operating plans. Ensures the ongoing training and development of direct reports. Develops and mentors staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes. Builds and maintains employee morale and motivation; ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Assists in annual and long term development of Pharmacy (Rx) department goals on inventory control and other business strategies. Create and present to senior management.
Manages financial oversight and appropriate financial analysis of all aspects of assigned project development and implementation.
Responsible for the appropriate use of Corporate capital; verifies project exit strategies are in place.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor degree and at least 4 years of pharmacy inventory management, forecasting, and/or demand planning OR High School/GED and at least 7 years of experience in pharmacy inventory management, forecasting, and/or demand planning.
Experience in developing, implementing and leading strategic projects.
Experience designing or enhancing systems or process to manage inventory.
Experience presenting and reporting on project plans and cost benefit analyses to appropriate stakeholders, and senior management.
Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
Willing to travel up to/at least 20%of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
MBA with concentration in Supply Chain
At least 4 years experience in pharmacy inventory management
APICS CPIM, CIRM, or CSCP certification. Lean Six Sigma and/or CPM a plus.
Experience within Walgreens in a role associated with inventory management, supply chain or Walgreens distribution centers.
Experience working knowledge of data bases, links and applications.

Salary Range:
$125000 - $218,750.00 / Salaried
