This includes recruiting, hiring, fleet management, and driver development, while championing safety, controlling costs, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The Logistics Manager collaborates closely with the Customer Service and Kitchen teams to support business growth while maintaining efficient, high-quality execution across all routes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership Model a positive, solution-oriented attitude and hold the team to the same standard. Set clear expectations, processes, and procedures, holding team members accountable for results that drive continuous improvement. Demonstrate a consistent commitment to First-Class Service for internal and external clients alike. Build a collaborative, high-performance culture that promotes teamwork and employee engagement. Manage and maintain productive relationships with third-party vendors and key accounts. Be a present, hands-on leader who steps in as needed to keep operations running smoothly. Safety Champion a safety-first culture where every team member thinks before they act. Plan and lead monthly safety meetings covering best practices, training, and regulatory compliance. Keep the fleet properly maintained and ensure it is operated according to all safety standards. Train and coach safe work behaviors, addressing concerns and correcting unsafe practices immediately. Ensure all accidents and injuries are promptly reported, thoroughly investigated, and accurately documented. Stay current on and enforce compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Health Department regulations. Service Ensure all orders are delivered completely, accurately, and on time, every time. Track on-time delivery performance and adjust routes, schedules, and staffing to maintain service levels. Develop a team culture centered on the client, reinforcing service standards through daily coaching and decisions. Reduce exception and special deliveries by holding the team to consistent training and accountability standards. Identify potential service disruptions before they occur and resolve operational issues quickly. Be willing and able to cover routes when needed, with or without a helper. Qualifications 5-7 years of management experience in distribution, logistics, or route-based operations Solid understanding of DOT regulations and compliance requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment screening Comfortable working with technology including Microsoft Teams, and route optimization software (Samsara) Reports to the
