Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping Manager to lead our logistics and distribution operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire shipping process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products while optimizing warehouse distribution, transportation management, and supply chain efficiency. Your expertise will drive process improvements, enhance vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with trade regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage complex logistics workflows, leverage data analysis skills, and contribute to the seamless flow of goods across our supply chain network. Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise all shipping activities, including shipping, freight management, and order fulfillment to meet customer expectations. Manage transportation planning and logistics, including working with third-party logistics providers (Old Dominion), (MC Enterprises) and freight carriers to optimize costs and delivery schedules. Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, production planning, project management, and customer service teams to align shipping strategies with overall supply chain goals. Ensure adherence to safety standards during manual handling operations and forklift usage; maintain a safe working environment in line with warehouse safety protocols. Conduct regular analysis of transportation management systems (TMS) data to optimize freight costs and improve delivery accuracy. Maintain comprehensive records of shipping documentation, contracts, vendor management activities, and compliance reports. Qualifications 1+ years of experience required. Proven experience practicing in a supply chain operations role with a strong background in warehouse management, logistics management, or transportation planning. Demonstrated expertise in warehouse distribution processes, inventory management systems, and materials handling techniques. Experience managing freight contracts, vendor relationships, procurement processes, and negotiations for transportation services. Ability to lead process improvement initiatives utilizing root cause analysis methodologies; excellent problem-solving skills essential for optimizing shipping workflows. Valid forklift certification preferred; experience operating forklifts or manual handling equipment is advantageous. Exceptional cross-functional communication skills to coordinate effectively across departments such as purchasing, production planning, customer service, and project management teams. Pay:
$18.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
