- Develop a deep understanding of Crystal-Clean's business and the needs of its various functions related to waste disposal & transportation lanes Establish and maintain cost-efficient network of outlets for waste
- Drive companywide lower disposal costs by maintaining relationships within the industry and negotiating contracts to provide preferential alternatives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders/managers
- Develop an effective working relationship with managers throughout the organization to facilitate and negotiate effective strategic sourcing of disposal outlets Relationship management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with disposal/recycling outlets and provide direct interface with the outlets Optionality of outlets / diversity
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks to ensure optionality (by sourcing alternative, cost-effective locations). Efficient transportation
- Work with stakeholders to develop and maintain efficient transportation lanes Waste approvals
- Oversee a waste approvals team to profile waste into internal and external outlets and resolution of all non-conforming material Bid support
- Support sales and the bidding process providing cost-effective treatment and disposal alternatives Pricing/cost models
- Build and manage pricing/cost models to ensure margin expectations are met KPI's
- Develop track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
