Leads the Support Organization (Receiving and Inventory Control), defines and implements industry leading distribution and labor management strategies, standards, and guidelines at the Americas Distribution Center (ADC).
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages exempt/non-exempt Distribution team members across two shifts in department of responsibility.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plans and organizes daily activities related to department strategy.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff over assigned department.
- Maintains regular performance discussion with employees and ensures discussions are held with all employees within assigned department.
- Measures productivity and quality by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
- Maintains and reports on department KPIs monthly.
- Coordinates with other departments such as human resources, finance, and quality to ensure successful operations.
- Assists in planning departmental budgets and monitors budget adherence.
- Determines labor needs to meet departmental labor management goals.
- Ensures department related process documents are complete and employee training is effective.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry standard Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
- Knowledge and experience with labor management, engineered labor standards and managing to performance standards.
