Job Description

Material Controls Manager (Day Shift)
Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Material Controls Manager to oversee day shift operations at our client location in Alexandria, LA. This role is critical in managing material flow, ensuring the availability of necessary resources, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of materials, ensuring optimal stock levels and timely replenishment to meet operational needs.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track materials effectively, ensuring accuracy and minimizing waste
  • Work closely with warehouse, procurement, and production teams to coordinate material requirements and ensure seamless operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements in material handling and inventory management, implementing best practices to optimize efficiency.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to material usage, inventory levels, and discrepancies, presenting findings to upper management.
  • Supervise and mentor material control staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations related to material handling and storage.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Material Controls Manager or in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and material handling best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to work day shifts and flexible hours as required.
