Under the general direction of the Stockroom Supervisor, the Stock Clerk assists with various aspects of the Materials Management Department including receiving, storing, and issuing materials, supplies, and equipment. This role is responsible for taking inventories and maintaining stock records in the warehouse. I.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Maintain appropriate supply levels on nursing units, including daily ordering and restocking of JIT supply carts. 2. Fulfill stockroom supply requests within 24 hours for routine orders and promptly for STAT/emergency orders. 3. Rotate stock to ensure oldest inventory is used first and check for expiration dates. 4. Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse, including sweeping floors and disposing of cardboard properly. 5. Assist in restocking supplies and notify supervisors of stockouts or usage changes. II.

1. High School Graduate or equivalent. 2. Valid driver's license in the state of residence with a good driving record.

1. Previous stockroom/inventory experience. 2. Previous healthcare experience. Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
