Warehouse Operations and Logistics Manager Job Description The Warehouse Operations and Logistics Manager at Cambridge Scientific Products (CSP) is responsible for managing, coordinating and optimizing the warehouse operation in a safe and fast paced environment requiring an orderly, secure and logistical approach to ensure that all incoming and outgoing movement of high quality scientific equipment, parts and supplies are timely received, logged, inspected, shelved, cleaned, serviced, inspected and scheduled for shipment in order to fulfill sales orders and customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibility:
Responsible for the overall coordination and "flow of goods" and all warehouse activities from the moment equipment arrives at the receiving dock to their final dispatch to customers. Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to ensure efficient operational flow while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. This includes overseeing inventory control systems to maintain accurate stock levels throughout the facility while coordinating the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in a cost-effective manner
Inventory Control:
Utilize existing inventory control systems for the purpose of confirming the location and identity of all current inventory (onsite or offsite) and accessibility with current workflow platforms such as (Airtable, CRM) for sales and service requirements. Document and track all equipment movement and availability of the inventory for purposes of determining the status of evaluation, servicing, cleaning, packing/crating equipment and shipment. Periodically conduct physical audits and oversee inventory accuracy and update status.
Shipping and Receiving:
Coordinate all inbound and outbound freight, courier activities and schedules. Inspect and record all incoming and outgoing shipments. Confirm decontamination and condition of equipment upon arrival. Participate in and assist with laboratory relocations and pickups. Communicate and schedule all shipments, deliveries, installations and service calls. Work with customers, freight carriers, vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless end-to-end order fulfillment. Track equipment shipments and resolve logistical challenges associated with them as needed. Confirm, respond and provide the status of equipment shipments and documents (pick list items) as required to ensure that finished goods are dispatched on time to the appropriate areas.
Service Contractors :
Provide qualified and approved service providers-controlled access and designated areas to repair, calibrate and service equipment.
Staff Leadership:
Supervise, train, and schedule warehouse staff. Delegate tasks, monitor productivity, safety and foster a culture of continuous improvement of the warehouse operation. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
Facility & Equipment:
Optimize warehouse layouts to maximize space utilization and oversee the maintenance of forklifts, conveyors, delivery vehicles, safety and overall security of the facility.
Suggested Action Items :

Logistic Operations:
o Ensuring accuracy of packing slips and signatures o Assisting packing / crating o Ensuring the cosmetic condition of equipment for delivery o Customer notification of delivery o CSP stickers on equipment prior to deliver/ shipments o Confirm Tip N TELLS activation for outbound shipments o Ensure equipment is prepared for local deliveries o Truck and Van Maintenance
