Full Job Description Overview:
Job Purpose The Inventory Crew Leader plays a key role in ensuring accurate inventory management across Royal Farms locations by overseeing the inventory audit process and supervising inventory crew members. They support our LEAN company culture by evaluating store conditions against company standards during audits, ensuring inventory is accurately counted, uploaded, and documented. They also confirm invoices, credits, transfers, and adjustments are recorded correctly, and ensure store condition photos are submitted to corporate leadership for review, driving operational excellence and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions Inventory Execution & Oversight Handheld Scanning Devices
  • Oversee the functionality, maintenance, and readiness of handheld inventory scanning devices at each store location. Ensure devices are properly configured to support accurate inventory audits, including successful synchronization with store systems prior to audit execution and reliable data upload upon completion.   • Review and verify that each inventory crew member is scanning accurately by spot-checking their assigned sections.
Validate fast food count sheets and tablet entries for accuracy. Scan damaged items and audit adjustments. Count the safe, lottery machine, and all assigned sections with inventory crew members. Confirm all areas have been tagged, upload and review counts, and calculate preliminary over/short totals. Tag Review
  • Collaborate with store leadership to verify that all inventory areas have been properly tagged, scanned, and reviewed, ensuring full audit coverage and compliance. Fast Food
  • Oversee the integrity of fast-food inventory data by confirming accurate departmental counts and maintaining up-to-date cost tracking documentation. Manage the submission of inventory audit documentation and fast-food counts through internal reporting systems, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.   • Investigate significant inventory variances by validating audit data against store records, ensuring discrepancies are thoroughly reviewed and resolved. Closing Conference
  • Lead closing discussions with store leadership to communicate audit findings, review over/short data, and confirm inventory accuracy. Document store conditions and audit outcomes through photos and system screenshots to support audit integrity and maintain compliance records. Team Coordination & Logistics Schedule
  • Submit a monthly audit schedule to the Loss Prevention team, listing all stores scheduled for inventory. Transportation
  • Safely transport inventory crew members to and from store locations. Maintain the company vehicle in good working condition and ensure all travel is conducted safely and efficiently. Payroll
  • Submit weekly payroll and ensure employee hours are accurately recorded and reported on time.

Qualifications:
Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. At least 1 year of relevant inventory, auditing, or retail operations experience. Strong knowledge of the inventory process. Accurate counting skills and attention to detail. Data entry proficiency. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office systems (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.). Preferred Prior leadership experience. Strong customer service skills. Experience as an inventory crew member. Work Requirements Work hours are typically Monday through Thursday, consisting of four 10-hour days. Some Fridays may be required for meetings and additional inventories. The position requires early morning start times and may involve long drive times between locations. Working conditions vary and include exposure to cold temperatures while counting in coolers and freezers, as well as warm conditions in deli and frying areas. Slippery surfaces may be present on the sales floor, in coolers/freezers, deli prep areas, stockrooms, and exterior store areas. This role is physically demanding and requires frequent movement, including bending, kneeling, lifting, squatting, and repeatedly transitioning between standing and crouching while counting. It also involves extended periods of standing, sitting, and frequent handheld data entry.
Pay Range:
USD $52,000.00
