The Prince George's County Office of Central Services is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a Logistics Manager (Supply Manager 3G) grade G-24 position, in the Fleet Management Division. About the Position This is senior level professional work that supervises the operation of two (2) County vehicle parts storerooms, the work activities of supply staff, the County's fuel supply system and the County's consolidated motor pool. The incumbent is supervised and evaluated by the Fleet Manager. About the Agency The Office of Central Services is a multifaceted agency of the Prince George's County Government providing government-wide, mission critical support services in the areas of facilities operations and management, building design & construction, real estate services, fleet management, and general services. We make government operations operate better for the government. Oversees and monitors the operation of two (2) County vehicle parts stockrooms. Monitors the County's fuel dispensing infrastructure to ensure fuel quality, inventory accuracy and fuel management systems, fuel inventory reports and immediate response to fuel contamination of supply disruption. Evaluates and monitors fuel vendors to ensure operational capability, regulatory compliance and service reliability, including review of delivery capacity, Department of Transportation compliance and fuel delivery capabilities. Supports sustainability initiatives by assisting with managing and reporting of alternative fuels, and fuel usage. Coordinates vehicle registration, titling, and tag management with the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration to ensure County fleet vehicles and equipment are properly documented and compliant with state regulations. Manages operation of the County's rental motor pool. Oversees the rental fleet composition and billing. Assists with planning, measuring, and implementing Departmental goals, programs, and projects. Compiles fleet replacement/preventative maintenance schedules, and billing/special reports. Willingly performs other tasks and duties assigned, which may not be specifically listed in the position description; however, are within the general occupational category and responsibility level typically associated within the employee's class of work. Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college in marketing, retail sales and distribution, economics, business or public administration, with course work in automated data processing, or a related field. Two (2) years of supervisory experience related to the position. Possess and maintain a valid Driver's license with six (6) points or less.
