Receiving Manager Mitchell Companies - 3.2 Nottingham, MD Job Details Full-time $59,000 - $65,000 a year 16 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Receiving Manager Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 4:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. | Warehouse Operations Mitchell Companies is looking for an experienced Receiving Manager to lead our warehouse receiving operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the receiving team and ensuring incoming shipments are unloaded, inspected, verified, and processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with warehouse or receiving experience who can manage a team, maintain high standards for accuracy and safety, and work effectively with vendors, carriers, purchasing, and warehouse leadership. Base salary of $59,000 annually Bonus opportunity of up to $6,000 annually Monday-Friday schedule Consistent daytime schedule Opportunity to lead and develop a receiving team Key leadership role within warehouse operations Opportunity to improve receiving processes and operational efficiency Stable, year-round employment Benefits and additional opportunities available based on company eligibility What You'll Do Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Warehouse Receivers and receiving associates Manage staffing, scheduling, and workload assignments based on incoming shipments Ensure incoming shipments are unloaded and verified against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading Oversee the inspection of products for damage, defects, shortages, and overages Work with vendors, carriers, purchasing, and warehouse leadership to resolve receiving discrepancies Train, coach, and support receiving employees to ensure accurate counting, labeling, tagging, and processing of products Monitor the accuracy and timeliness of inventory and warehouse management system (WMS) data entry Direct the sorting, staging, and put-away of received products Ensure products are properly placed in designated storage areas and backstock is replenished efficiently Enforce safety policies and OSHA requirements related to warehouse and equipment operations Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area Support cycle counts and physical inventories and assist with resolving inventory discrepancies Participate in hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, and performance management of receiving employees Track and report receiving performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy Serve as a point of contact for vendors, carriers, and purchasing regarding receiving issues Perform additional duties as assigned by management What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is a plus 3-5 years of warehouse or receiving experience 1-2 years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred Experience using a WMS or inventory management system required Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification promptly Strong leadership and team management skills Strong problem-solving, math, and analytical abilities Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively with vendors, carriers, and cross-functional teams Schedule Monday-Friday | 4:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. This position offers a consistent Monday-Friday schedule with early morning hours. Schedule may occasionally vary based on shipment volume and operational needs. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This is an active warehouse leadership position.
