$145-170k + BonusPosition Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain to lead their manufacturing supply chain operations, with direct oversight of the materials management and purchasing teams. This role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted material flow to support production, optimizing inventory and procurement strategies, strengthening supplier partnerships, and driving operational efficiency across the manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience in a plant or multi-site manufacturing setting, along with a proven ability to balance cost, quality, and delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the materials management and purchasing teams to support production schedules and business objectivesDevelop and execute supply chain strategies that ensure raw materials, components, and indirect supplies are available to meet manufacturing demandOversee purchasing activities, including sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations, and vendor performance managementDirect materials planning, inventory control, and replenishment processes to minimize shortages, excess, and obsolescenceCollaborate closely with production, operations, engineering, quality, logistics, and finance to align supply plans with manufacturing requirementsMonitor and improve supplier performance related to on-time delivery, quality, lead times, and cost competitivenessDrive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and materials flow, including process standardization and waste reductionManage inventory accuracy, cycle count programs, safety stock levels, and warehouse coordination as neededSupport production continuity by proactively identifying supply risks and implementing mitigation plansLead S&OP, forecasting, and capacity-related supply planning efforts in partnership with cross-functional teamsEnsure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirementsUtilize ERP/MRP systems and reporting tools to improve planning, decision-making, and supply chain visibility
