SUMMARY:
This role is the strategic and data-driven head of Marketing & Sales, responsible for developing and executing the company's go‑to‑market strategy to drive revenue growth, brand strength and market expansion. You lead both the marketing and sales functions, ensuring alignment across the full client journey—from brand awareness and demand generation to customer acquisition and retention. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands‑on execution and excels at building scalable systems, teams, and processes. This is a full-time FLSA-exempt position. It requires at least 40 hours per week, with the ability to work more if necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership Develop and execute a unified marketing and sales strategy aligned with company goals, including a mapping plan for national brand awareness and sales focus. Establish annual and quarterly revenue, pipeline, and performance targets. Build, refine and own the company's go‑to‑market strategy, including segmentation, positioning, and messaging, in conjunction with organizational executive leaders. Evaluate market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to shape strategy. Marketing Leadership Oversee all brand, communications, digital and demand generation activities. Manage and innovate company website to ensure content attracts client attention and maximizes our brand, core values and results. Lead development of marketing campaigns that increase visibility and drive qualified leads. Manage content strategy, including thought leadership, social media, web presence and PR. Owns internal communication platform ( The Toolbox ), ensuring organized features and appropriate content. Optimize marketing funnels to maximize conversion rates and ROI. Build and track metrics for brand awareness, lead generation, and MQL-to-SQL conversions. Sales Leadership Lead the sales team in achieving revenue growth and pipeline targets. Build and refine the sales process, including territory planning, forecasting and pipeline management. Develop sales playbooks, scripts and enablement tools to attract clients in our target areas of growth. Recruit, coach and mentor high performing sales professionals. Establish KPIs for sales performance, productivity, brand awareness and accountability locally and nationally and hold team accountable to results. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with business unit leaders, Finance, Operations, IT and People Operations to ensure alignment on pricing, product positioning, branding, communications and resource planning. Work closely with People Operations on team structure, performance management, communications, and pursuit talent development plans. Collaborate with execution leaders to improve client retention and coordinate and train on upselling strategies.
  • Implement scalable systems and technology across our footprint, including marketing automation, analytics and reporting of KPIs.
Team & Organizational Development Build and lead a high-performing marketing and sales team, supporting philanthropy/community relations and communication across the organization. Develop team of engaged and synergized direct and indirect reports, providing regular 1:1 connections, goals, accountability career pathing, development, training and coaching. Foster a culture focused on positivity, partnership, accountability, innovation, experimentation and continuous improvement. Budget & Resource Management Own the budget for marketing and sales, ensuring efficient allocation and ROI. Evaluate and manage vendor relationships, agencies and contractors. Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications or sales.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience leading marketing, sales or revenue leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading integrated marketing and sales teams.
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical and decision‑making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication, partnership/influence and people‑leadership skills.
  • Experience developing and executing integrated go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Proven track record leading teams and influencing senior leaders in fast‑moving, complex national organization(s).
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to translate sales and marketing concepts for non-SME audiences.
  • Ability to influence a matrixed organization and build trust at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a practical, solutions‑oriented mindset.
  • Excellent project management skills in dynamic, multi‑stakeholder environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
STRONGLY PREFERRED
  • Experience in scaling midsize businesses or building functions from local to national.
  • Strong background in digital marketing, analytics and CRM management.
  • Experience in construction industry (optional but beneficial).
  • Exposure to brand development and high‑growth commercial strategy.
  • Proficient in the following applications: InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Acrobat.
