Lake Viking Marine - Parts Counter Associate / Parts Manager Lake Viking Marine is the only full-service boat dealership in the Greater Kansas City area located directly on the water. We are a busy, established marine dealership with one of the region's leading full-service departments, and we're looking for the right person to join our team. We are currently hiring for a full-time Parts Counter Associate or Parts Manager , depending on experience and qualifications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Forecast parts needs and order parts to maintain appropriate inventory levels Monitor current inventory and manage obsolete or slow-moving parts Receive, label, organize, and distribute parts promptly upon arrival Track outstanding orders, backorders, returns, and credits, and follow up as needed Price parts appropriately to maintain department profitability Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts Work closely with the service department to ensure parts are available for scheduled repair jobs Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts department
Secondary Responsibilities:
Cross-train in service writing Cross-train in warranty administration Assist with checking boats in for service Assist with boat movement, pickup, and delivery by land or water as needed
Desired Qualifications:
1+ year of parts department experience preferred 1+ year of supervisory or management experience preferred for Parts Manager candidates Strong mechanical aptitude required Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment required Strong organizational and customer service skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record required Boating and/or trailer towing experience preferred Experience with Lightspeed preferred Marine, automotive, powersports, or similar industry experience is a plus
