Job Description

Inventory Control Manager — Missoula, Montana Flower is hiring an Inventory Control Manager to oversee cannabis inventory flow, compliance execution, packaging operations, wholesale purchasing, vendor coordination, and inventory accuracy across a vertically integrated cannabis operation. Relocation assistance is available, and flexible start timelines are possible for the right candidate. Flower operates two high-volume retail locations and is a well-established regional Montana cannabis brand with vertically integrated cultivation, extraction, packaging, wholesale, and retail operations. This is a long-term operational role inside a stable company with established systems, defined workflows, and high operational standards.

This role sits at the operational convergence point between packaging, inventory, compliance, wholesale, and retail. The position is computer-heavy, detail-oriented, and highly process-driven. The inventory and packaging department has recently been overhauled and standardized by the company's founder and CEO. The incoming Inventory Control Manager will receive direct training on the company's systems, workflows, operational standards, and inventory procedures. This is a calm, structured department built around consistency, accountability, communication, and steady execution. The systems and workflows are already defined. The role is to execute them consistently, maintain accurate inventory movement, keep production organized, and maintain operational alignment between departments. This is an important long-term operational role inside the company with direct responsibility for inventory accuracy, packaging flow, compliance execution, and production accountability. Responsibilities Manage METRC inventory movement, transfers, tag creation, and reconciliations Maintain accurate physical and digital inventory records Conduct inventory audits and resolve discrepancies Coordinate wholesale purchasing and vendor communication Manage inventory movement between departments and retail locations Schedule and directly manage a small packaging department staff Maintain packaging workflow and production organization Ensure weekly production quotas are completed consistently Escalate inventory, compliance, staffing, or workflow issues when needed Maintain communication and operational alignment between upstream and downstream departments Support packaging closeout, accountability, and inventory accuracy standards What We're Looking For Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfort working heavily in computer systems and inventory software Ability to maintain calm, steady execution in a repetitive operational environment Strong communication and follow-through Ability to manage people directly and maintain accountability without unnecessary drama Ability to work within established systems and procedures consistently Cannabis industry experience preferred METRC experience strongly preferred Inventory control, warehouse, logistics, purchasing, or compliance experience preferred What This Role Is Not This is not a retail sales role This is not a production-only packaging role This is not a passive office/admin position This is not a loose or improvisational environment This is not a system-design role Schedule Monday-Friday Day shift Full-time Compensation & Benefits $28.00-$34.00 per hour depending on experience Health insurance Paid time off Employee discounts To Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief summary of your background and interest in the role.
