Job Description
Overview The Warehouse Inventory Supervisor is responsible for supporting world-class inventory management practices within a highly regulated retread manufacturing environment. This role helps oversee inventory accuracy by assisting in the development and enforcement of inventory control procedures that prevent loss, improve accuracy, and ensure strict adherence to FIFO principles across new tires, worn casings, and retreaded products. The position plays a key role in supporting operational excellence by locating and retrieving inventory as needed for scrapping, retreading, and related processes, while also assisting with warehouse shipping operations when required to ensure proper allocation of people and equipment for efficient workflow and productivity. In addition, the Supervisor prepares for and supports both mid-year and year-end physical inventories to help maintain strong inventory accuracy, while promoting compliance with Bridgestone standards, safe work practices, and effective collaboration across Production, Quality, Logistics, and warehouse teams. Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and enforce full compliance with Bridgestone Aircraft safety policies, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a zero-incident safety culture through adherence to 3S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine) and KY (Hazard Prediction) practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment.
- Support and maintain high standards of inventory accuracy through cycle counting, bin management, and transaction validation within the WMS.
- Lead preparation activities for mid-year and year-end physical inventories to ensure audit readiness and accuracy.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and sustaining inventory control procedures to minimize loss, shrinkage, and discrepancies.
- Ensure all materials (new tires, casings, finished goods) are properly labeled, identified, and traceable per Bridgestone Aircraft Tire standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strict FIFO compliance for worn casings (including PRB), new tires, and finished goods to support production scheduling and customer delivery commitments.
- Coordinate and prioritize retrieval and movement of materials for retreading, inspection, disposal, or shipment.
- Partner closely with Production to align daily material flow with retread operations and production output requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure availability of casings and finished goods for continuous operations.
- Assist in directing day-to-day activities of warehouse and shipping personnel to ensure efficient operations.
- Support workload planning and staffing assignments aligned with business demands.
- Oversee inbound receiving processes, including offloading containers and verifying documentation accuracy for new tire receipts.
- Monitor outbound shipping schedules and proactively resolve issues to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) customer deliveries.
- Assist in designing and maintaining optimized warehouse layouts to support efficient storage, picking, and replenishment processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in material handling, space utilization, and workflow efficiency.
- Provide leadership support to warehouse associates, including training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Drive employee engagement and productivity aligned with Bridgestone performance metrics and KPIs.
- Support development initiatives by mentoring employees and reinforcing standard work practices.
- Recognize performance achievements and identify opportunities for skill development and operational improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, process optimization) within warehouse and logistics functions.
- Assist in developing, documenting, and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor equipment, supplies, and inventory levels to support uninterrupted operations.
