Summary/Objective:
The Supply Chain Team Lead is responsible for managing the daily operations of a replenishment team focused on a specific category, encompassing a defined set of items and vendors. This role is dedicated to driving the team's success in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service levels, inventory on hand, spoilage, and overall operational efficiency. The Team Lead plays a critical role in supporting team members, addressing higher-level challenges, and ensuring smooth coordination across the supply chain.
Essential Functions:
Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics, including fill rates, inventory on hand, on-time delivery, cost optimization, and implementing corrective actions as needed. In partnership with the Supply Planning team, ensure the planning parameters, lead times, safety stock, and MOQ's are properly maintained to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste. Analyze quantity commitments for medium to long term purchase agreements and contracts to forge alignment with Business Development and Supply Planning on said agreements. Oversee supplier scorecards using that data to partner with vendors to drive improvements Reconcile supplier shipment & invoice variances in collaboration with Supply Chain Coordinator team. Act as the primary escalation point for the team to provide guidance, support and resolve day to day challenges. Lead initiatives to identify process improvements, increase efficiency, and reduce costs across the supply chain. Prepare and present regular performance reports to Supply Chain leadership, highlighting successes and areas for improvement. Proactively review inventory to minimize excess, aging, expired or dead stock and escalating with appropriate parties as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Act as team sponsor on inventory and customer focused reviews Collaborate with Supply Chain Manager on personnel coaching, performance appraisal and development Other duties assigned as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field and/or equivalent experience in the Food industry Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably Infor M3, and advanced knowledge of supply chain planning tools. Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making. Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, procurement, logistics, and supplier relationship management. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with other MS Office applications. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing challenges and risks. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Range:
$70,000 - $80,000 annually plus bonus Our company will be relocating to a new corporate headquarters in Madison, NJ in Q4 of 2026. Candidates should be comfortable with this upcoming change in location.
