Are you up for the opportunity of a lifetime? If so, we are seeking a Logistics Manager who will be responsible for booking air, ocean and small parcel shipments, auditing shipping documents, gathering freight quotes, entering shipments in our internal system, confirm proper HTS code, duty and tariff rates. This person will communicate with international and domestic factories, freight forwarders and truckers to ensure timely deliveries. They will track and report delays or shipment related issues with the sales and project management team. Key Activities /
Accountabilities:
Assist Project Managers by gathering air and ocean quotes for all programs. Quote, Book and Track domestic trucking movements utilizing Slate. Ensure shipping ID's are created for all movements. Review and negotiate domestic and local trucking rates every 3-6 months. Audit and approve 7501 statements received by freight forwarders ensuring the value is reported correctly. Confirm HTS code, duty and tariff rate on various items. Maintain landed cost module including freight rate tables and HTS codes. Analyze upcoming shipments and consolidate to save costs. Track all shipments and update slate with the proper documents. Maintain relationships with third party logistic departments and freight forwarders. Other duties as assigned. Fulfill employee portion of the Berlin Values.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
BA/BS degree required. Minimum 2 to 5 years of logistics experience. Ability to use Mac. Consumer packaged goods experience or primary and secondary experience are a plus. Proven ability to quickly learn and confidently apply new software applications and processes. Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivation with a strong sense of personal accountability. Working knowledge of MS Office suite. Strong business acumen. Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills. Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude and one who takes pride in the quality of their work. Collaborative teaming skills and ability to work with multiple departments. Critical thinker and information seeker. Knowledge and understanding of HTS-US Classification. Bilingual
  • English and Mandarin or English and Vietnamese preferred NY/NJ Base Pay Range $70,000
