Company Overview:
We are a dynamic and fast-paced Ambulatory Surgical Center seeking an experienced Material Manager with healthcare background to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Material Manager will oversee inventory and procurement procedures for raw materials and supplies within our facility. This role requires a strong background in supply chain management and inventory control, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. The goal is to ensure the continuous availability of essential materials to support our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with management to assess and determine supply needs. Purchase supplies and materials in accordance with established specifications. Coordinate and supervise the receiving and warehousing of materials. Oversee the distribution of supplies throughout the organization. Maintain and control inventory levels, ensuring material availability during emergencies. Supervise, evaluate, and mentor subordinate staff. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, including negotiation of terms. Maintain detailed records of procurement activities, material quantities, and specifications. Assist in forecasting and planning for future orders.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Material Manager or in a similar role. Proven experience in shipping and receiving. Proficiency with supply chain and inventory management systems. Strong understanding of forecasting and budgeting. Working knowledge of SAP MM. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Strong problem-solving abilities. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
