Planning & Allocation Analyst#26-20449 $15.49-$38.00 per hour New York, NJ Hybrid Job Description Our client, a Food Product Manufacturer company, is looking for a Planning & Allocation Analyst for their Newark, NJ/Hybrid location.
Responsibilities:
Has moderate to extensive knowledge and experience in own discipline Performs a range of mainly straightforward assignments when entering this Assignment level, developing towards having full accountability processes or business objectives Continues to build knowledge of the company, processes and customers by leading projects or project steps within a broader project Typically resolves problems using existing solutions, but may also solve complex problems taking a new perspective on existing solutions Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction Can be a Line Manager for Business Operations and Technical roles (up to 3) This is typically a Assignment with significantly more authority and responsibility at this Assignment level. It should be selected to recognize differences which are not enough to be represented by a separate Assignment level, such as increased proficiency in skills/competencies to perform responsibilities, greater impact to the business unit, customer, segment, geography, etc. May also provide guidance or leadership to other Associates.
Assignment Family Group:
Sales Responsible for achieving sales goals and executing sales plans with a defined area. Includes sales management, account management, channel management, field sales/merchandising force (including traditional trade, modern trade, wholesale, distributor and new business) and sales control and field evaluations. In some countries field sales force may be split from key account management (national and international).

Demand Planning These roles are primarily focused on creating the demand plan and forecasting volume requirements, ensuring we deliver on time in full and provide insight, which shapes the internal financial plan and assumptions behind future growth activities. Core demand planning activities include: Sales Forecast Accuracy and Bias continuous improvement, baseline and incremental refresh in line with latest growth assumptions, forecast analysis and management of planning systems Answer why this job is in the organization; Why this job exists (2 or 3 sentences maximum) This pivotal role leads the execution of item level analysis, planning & replenishment strategies across our Global Retail business. This individual will determine how to most effectively secure and utilize our inventory to ensure we delight our guests through availability and deliver our financial objectives. This individual provides a business-critical role for Retail and will be a significant contributor in the company's success. Drive the financial success of multiple departments (within the Apparel Division) through the creation and execution of effective replenishment strategies that align with sales, margin and inventory goals. Support the retail channel by analyzing merchandise assortments and promotional activity and replenishing inventory to meet with consumer demands and market trends. Analyze historical and current sales trend data to develop Apparel item level ladder plans and identify opportunities by location/region, department, and SKU. Effectively manage in-season replenishment needs to ensure flawless availability at the store level. Work with Category Planning Manager to align on order and shipment forecast to reconcile to OTB. Draft and recommend purchase orders for items to proactively manage store inventory levels, business needs and vendor constraints. Communicate regional and store level sales performance, inventory productivity and action plans in weekly business review meetings. In partnership with the Vendor Liaison, provide visibility to inbound inventory issues, and work collaboratively with the Planning and Merchant teams to offset potential sales risks. Partner with Category Planning Manager to ensure core businesses are in stock to meet and/or exceed sales plan. Partner with Allocation Analysts to communicate and align on item level replenishment plans/timing, in an effort to mitigate out of stock risks. Challenge and seek to improve existing Forecasting, Replenishment and Allocation processes to continually improve our processes. The Planning & Allocation Analyst utilizes a series of data to analyze business trends, review performance of item level sales at the store level, and determine order quantities to maximize sales, margin, and inventory in their respective categories. They work collaboratively with their Merchant partners to execute the vision of the line plan, and to ensure we purchase the right amount of merchandise to support the business. They work closely with their respective Category Planning Manager to ensure their purchasing decisions fit within the financial targets, and that they are ordering the right amount of inventory to support the right product mix.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Supply Chain or related field Experience in Retail environment preferred Experience in Retail Replenishment and Allocation, Planning or other relevant function. Extreme attention to detail and accuracy Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all aspects of the business Advanced skills in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel Planning tool/system experience considered an asset (Relex preferred) Experience with SAP and Warehouse Management Systems and Asset Knowledge of overall supply chain/logistics best practices; includes international and domestic logistic movement experience considered an asset
