Exempt Since 1936 Power Equipment Company (PECO) has been a distributor of heavy construction and aggregate equipment serving the construction, mining and aggregate industries in multiple locations. PECO is looking for an experienced Parts Manager for the Denver location. All locations provide equipment rentals and sales as well as complete parts and service support for all of our product lines. We pride ourselves in our commitment to our customers and are dedicated to supporting your equipment now and in the future in order to guarantee your success. The idea candidate will provide leadership for the parts department, companywide as well as the individual branches. Responsible for the efficient and profitable operation with a strong focus on customer relationships. In this position, the ideal candidate will advise and make recommendations to the executive management team regarding proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, safety and pricing.
Essential Job Functions:
Provides leadership, guidance and partners with the branch, parts and service managers as well as the product support representatives (PSR) Develops annual objectives for the parts department to include customer service, proper and acceptable inventory levels, acceptable turnover rates and sales goals and profits Takes a pro-active approach to handling employee matters with the parts or branch manager Responsible for parts programs at the individual branch locations Keeps informed of training opportunities for parts employees either as a department function or in conjunction with partnered manufacturers The main liaison for the manufacturers Assist the parts/branch managers with evaluating the performance of parts department employee Acts as a champion in the promotion and sale of parts through every possible means Promotes teamwork with all other departments and supports interdepartmental communication Strong focus on employee success and empowerment throughout the company This position requires travel, roughly 25% Education and/or
Experience:
7+ years of parts experience required Experience in the heavy equipment and aggregate industry a plus Ability to manage priorities and expectations in fast paced environment Strong leadership and management skills Proficient utilizing computers including Microsoft products including smartphone and tablet/iPad Must be able to pass a post-offer background check including drug screen Power Equipment Company is an equal opportunity employer #PE
