FT Days Job Summary:
The Procedural Services and Cath Lab Supply Coordinator is responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment within the Operating Room (OR) and Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab). This role ensures clinical areas remain fully stocked, organized, and compliant with regulatory standards while actively supporting cost containment initiatives and supply chain efficiency. The coordinator works collaboratively with clinical staff, Materials Management, and leadership to balance patient care needs with fiscal responsibility The incumbent is expected to perform all duties while adhering to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct, acting in the best interests of Three Crosses Regional Hospital, and fully supporting its mission, vision, and values.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain established par levels for surgical and Cath Lab supplies. Receive, verify, and distribute incoming supply shipments Restock shelves, carts, and procedure rooms daily. Rotate stock to prevent expiration and minimize waste. Remove expired, damaged, or obsolete products promptly. Ensure necessary supplies are available prior to scheduled procedures. Monitor supply usage trends and identify opportunities to reduce waste. Conduct routine inventory audits and cycle counts. Track high-cost implantable devices and specialty supplies appropriately Reconcile discrepancies in collaboration with Materials Management. Maintain accurate documentation within inventory management systems. Communicate backorder issues and assist in sourcing suitable alternatives. Support product standardization initiatives across service lines. Collaborate with leadership to evaluate cost-effective supply alternatives. Assist in preventing overstocking and unnecessary urgent ordering. Respond promptly to urgent supply needs during procedures. Maintain clean, organized, and regulatory-compliant storage areas. Support compliance with infection control, safety, and accreditation standards. Attend meetings as assigned Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Required:
High School Diploma or Equitant Required:
Experience in an Operating Room, Cath Lab, Central Supply, or healthcare materials management.
Preferred:
Knowledge of surgical and cardiovascular supplies strongly preferred.
Preferred:
Experience with inventory management systems preferred.
