The Role:
We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Logistics Supervisor for our Binghamton and Cortland Finished Goods Warehouses. We are looking for someone who brings enthusiasm and expertise to the table. In this role, you'll supervise, coordinate, and provide leadership to a team while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. We value innovative and creative ideas. What You'll Be Doing :
Manage all aspects of warehouse personnel across multiple warehouse locations, ensuring alignment with operational objectives, performance standards and staffing requirements. Direct daily operations of warehouse teams, including associate training and licensing, ongoing employee development, workforce planning, work assignments, deadline management, and consistent interpretation and enforcement of organizational policies. Act as primary liaison between warehouse operations and production teams, ensuring alignment with customer demand, production schedules, and delivery expectations. Provide detailed performance data and analysis at both departmental and individual levels, conducting performance evaluations, resolving conflicts using de-escalation techniques, and approving timecards to ensure accurate payroll processing. Assess, recommend, and implement improvements to methods, procedures, and workflow strategies within the warehouse to optimize efficiency and meet evolving business needs. Analyze existing operation practices and procedures, making strategic decisions and creating supporting processes and work instructions to meet departmental goals and compliance standards. Learn and follow the Toyota Production Systems processes Review and interpret KPI (key performance indicator) reports to identify warehouse efficiencies and continuous improvement opportunities, leveraging lean tools such as the Kaizen process to enhance productivity and operational excellence. Review and respond to safety incidents, conduct risk assessments, and actively promote a "Safety First" culture through training, engagement, and adherence to protocol.
What We're Looking For:
Two or more years in a supervisory/management role and/or team lead role. Two or more years of experience in the material handling/warehouse industry Experience with utilization of and implementation of WMS Systems (JDE, SAP, and others) Previous material handling equipment operation and knowledge of warehouse safety practices. Experience with MS Office suite of tools.
What Sets You Apart:
An associate's degree in a related field. Experience with LTL (Less than Load) and OTR (Over the Road) logistics. Experience with packaging/palletizing. Effective communication skills with all levels (verbal and written).
Where and When You'll Work:
This is an in-person role located at our Kirkwood, NY & Cortland, NY location—ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment. This position will be working on the first shift. Travel is required regularly between our satellite warehouse locations in Kirkwood and Cortland as well as to our corporate location in Greene, NY. What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like: Salary - $65,440 - $83,895 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
