Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inventory Control Manager to oversee and optimize inventory management processes across our warehouse and supply chain operations. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive inventory control strategies aligned with organizational goals, including demand planning and stock optimization. Utilize advanced inventory management software systems such as ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, AS400) to monitor stock levels, track movements, and analyze trends. Conduct root cause analysis to identify inventory discrepancies, shortages, or excesses, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Lead category management efforts by analyzing sales data from Nielsen, Power BI, Tableau, and other analytics tools to inform stocking decisions. Collaborate with procurement teams on sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and contract management to ensure cost-effective purchasing. Oversee warehouse operations related to materials handling, shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and heavy lifting activities. Utilize data visualization tools for reporting on logistics inventory management performance metrics and supply chain analytics. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, production planning, and logistics to optimize inventory levels across all channels. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with contractual terms. Drive process improvement initiatives by analyzing warehouse processes using Excel data analysis techniques and implementing best practices for efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to materials handling and warehouse operations. Experience Proven experience in warehouse distribution, logistics inventory management, or supply chain roles within a fast-paced environment. Extensive knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as SAP or AS400, and inventory control software. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data mining, data collection, Excel data analysis, Power BI, Tableau, and other visualization tools. Demonstrated ability in negotiation with suppliers and managing contracts effectively. Experience in demand planning, forecasting using MRP (Material Requirements Planning), financial modeling, and pricing strategies. Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts and heavy lifting machinery. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across procurement, merchandising, logistics, and production teams. Ability to perform root cause analysis to resolve inventory discrepancies efficiently. Knowledge of e-commerce logistics operations is advantageous. Strong technical proficiency in supply chain analytics tools such as Nielsen datasets or similar sources.
