POSITION TITLE
Materials Manager Shift:
8 :00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday)
Salary:
85,000 - 96,000 Summary The Materials Manager is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory and supply levels, as well as addressing supply challenges. Materials Manager is also responsible for developing and managing all supplier relationships. The Materials Manager will maintain and ensure continuous improvement of the ERP system. Responsibilities Oversees and maintains current inventory. Aligns material requirements with commercial and manufacturing to ensure supply availability. Supports VP of Supply Chain in pricing and contract negotiations with suppliers. Leads implementation of cost savings, sourcing, & supply chain initiatives at division level Acts as MRP Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Purchasing team. Identifies system gaps & improvements and drives corrective action. Enters and ensures the accuracy of Item Specifications Validating code changes written to enhance current applications Verifying system usability through comprehensive interface, workflow, and use-case test execution Identifying and logging defects if/when a test fails, and narrowing down the root cause of the problem and communicating with ERP development team Participating in QA & CI initiatives Assisting in the management of operational requests and troubleshooting issues Assisting in creating work instructions and facilitating training Assists with cycle counts, inventory, and financial audits Reviews cost standards for all active products Ensures all work orders are accounted monthly Assist in customization of ERP reports Assist Cost Accountant with margin costing Creates quotes for orders greater than $50,000 and sister companies Facilitating and completing testing of new or modified applications. Creating and maintaining test scenarios and other related documentation Collaborating with all the necessary departments and business partners to implement cost savings and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Required Skills, Education, and Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Knowledge of Force.com Experience with SalesForce Proficient in the use of ERP systems and Microsoft Office Tools Apply analytical reasoning or quantitative analysis Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven negotiation skills. Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines and work under pressure Financial skills including cost modeling, cost analysis, make vs. buy analysis Travel Requirements Minimal required but some as necessary Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
