The Director Inventory Control role has a national salary range of $104,000- $198,000. Job Description Develop Sector Inventory Control expertise on a regional basis (US, CAN & possibly Latin Am) to enhance the overall functional structure. Gather and define best practice policies, procedures and techniques for all aspects of Inventory Control. Provide Sector leadership and strategic oversight for the implementation and adherence to best practices. Monitor and report issues and compliance on a regular basis to the Executive Team. Develop Sector Inventory Control expertise on a regional basis to enhance the overall functional structure Provide support and recommendations for hiring and training of IM personnel Provide guidance, training and direction to the organization for Inventory Control Take an active role in developing personnel engaged in IM activities Gather and define best practice policies, procedures and techniques for all aspects of Inventory Management. Develop, co-ordinate the agreement and ensure the establishment of best practices throughout the Sector Ensure an understanding of the existing inventory management practices, reporting and commercial requirements throughout the Sector Recommend and implement policies, processes and procedures that support and ensure accurate records of inventory activities and status. Establish policies, processes and procedures that support and ensure good inventory control practices at all sites. Provide Sector leadership and strategic oversight for the implementation and adherence to best practices. Define and refine consistent site and Sector metrics and reporting Provide leadership, support and training to ensure the integrity of inventory metrics Provide leadership for continuous improvement of IM disciplines and application Provide leadership in terms of inventory analysis Monitor and report issues and compliance on a regular basis to the Executive Team. Provide guidance regarding inventory issues including the existence, cause and resolution of inventory variances Timely communication of inventory issues with Management. Provide leadership for resolving inventory related issues with customers. Play an active role in the internal audit reviews and management responses and action plans to reported issues Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree or work related experience in inventory management. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Knowledge of basic WMS systems Experience with relational databases, preferred 5+ years of inventory experience in a warehouse environment Exposure and experience with financial reporting Experience with the implementation of WMS or other business administrative systems 1+ years of supervisory experience Professional certification in Inventory Control, preferred Our Organization is an equal opportunity employer.
