Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY
Vertiv has a transformational opportunity for a Logistics Manager - Outbound Logistics in Westerville, OH, who will be responsible for the leadership and execution of Outbound Logistics operations across the Americas Region. This position will lead domestic North American transportation, international exports, and IMMEX-related logistics activities while partnering with manufacturing, supply chain, customer service, procurement, and logistics providers to ensure the efficient movement of finished goods to customers. The Manager will play a critical role in developing and executing Vertiv's transportation strategy to support business growth, optimize service and cost performance, and drive continuous improvement across domestic and international distribution networks. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in manufacturing environments, North American transportation operations, international trade compliance, and Oracle-based logistics systems.RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish performance goals for outbound logistics operations and communicate how individual responsibilities contribute to overall team success. Analyze transportation, service, and cost performance metrics and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement. Lead domestic transportation operations throughout North America, including truckload, LTL, parcel, intermodal, and dedicated solutions. Manage export operations, including shipments between and out of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Provide leadership and oversight of IMMEX-related logistics activities, ensuring compliance with applicable customs, trade, and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement transportation strategies that improve customer service, transit times, visibility, and total landed cost. Manage relationships and performance of third-party logistics providers, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation partners. Conduct regular operational reviews and control point meetings to evaluate carrier performance, service levels, KPI attainment, and project progress. Partner with manufacturing plants, distribution centers, customer service, procurement, and planning teams to optimize outbound material flow and finished goods distribution. Drive standardization of transportation processes and best practices across multiple manufacturing and distribution locations. Collaborate with Logistics Procurement to develop sourcing strategies for truckload, LTL, parcel & intermodal. Leverage Oracle platforms, transportation management systems, reporting tools, and control tower technologies to improve operational visibility and decision-making. Lead strategic cross-functional initiatives focused on logistics optimization, transportation network design, inventory velocity, and customer experience. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics or related field Minimum 5-7 years of management in logistics Working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word 3PL Management experience from the customer perspective Excellent team player and demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize multiple, simultaneous tasks while maintaining excellent customer service. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Detail-oriented. Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Lean and Six Sigma Experience Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and interact effectively with personnel to accomplish tasks OracleTMS, WMS & ERP
experience within a manufacturing environment Experience Creating visibility tools & AI (Ie; Power BI, Chap GPT, Sequel, etc) Experience supporting multiple manufacturing sites Must be action-oriented with an eye for finding opportunity and solving problems In depth knowledge of modern logistics and inventory practices English language skills required Fluency in SpanishTIME TRAVEL REQUIRED 15
