Job Function:
Manage parts room daily operations within the maintenance department to maximize return on investment. Optimize Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction, exercising disciplined expense control, and maintaining proper accountability of all parts on inventory using the fleet management software.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain good working relationships with all other departments to reduce conflict and maximize company profitability. Establish and maintain a constant interdepartmental relationship with all shop personnel to ensure constant and consistent quality work flow. Develops and maintains effective processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. Creates annual Parts Department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectives and effective Inventory Management. Develops and executes marketing plan and monitors monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals. Conducts a quarterly physical inventory of all parts and related inventories. Submits all parts warranty and return claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credit. Maximizes use of all order discount programs. Maintains all department tools, equipment and vehicles in good working order. Ensure adherence to all Company PoliciesProcedures. Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Detail Oriented. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 3 years' experience in inventory control, parts ordering and/or parts reconciliation Knowledge of, or experience with, parts or fleet management systems is preferred Must have a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
Must pass drug and alcohol screenings and physical exam. Be able to stand, bend, kneel, squat, twist, turn and reach. Be able to climb up and down ladders. Be able to work safely in a noisy area with fumes, chemicals and dust present. Be able to lift 75 pounds, push, and pull 100 pounds. Must be able to work holidays and weekends as needed or per your schedule.
