Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Receiving Lead to oversee the inbound logistics and material receipt processes within our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse management experience, and proficiency with inventory control systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient warehouse distribution, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting process improvements to optimize overall supply chain performance. Duties Supervise daily receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of inbound shipments using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Ensuring all items arriving inbound have updated and accurate UPCs, UOMs, and expire/lot numbers documented. Leading and delegating to manage inventory control processes, including cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and updated MU labels to maintain precise inventory levels. Lead and train team members on materials handling techniques, heavy lifting safety protocols, and proper use of equipment such as forklifts. Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline warehouse procedures. Assist in managing warehouse space utilization and layout optimization for improved workflow. This includes reconfiguring pallets to upkeep rack replenishment. Experience Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within a distribution or logistics environment. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems such as Warehouse Management System (WMS), AS400, or similar platforms. Hands-on experience with materials handling equipment including forklifts; certification preferred. Background in logistics, shipping & receiving processes, 3PL operations, or e-commerce fulfillment is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance is a plus. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
