Apply Now The Wesco Customer Materials Development Program is a twelve-month training program designed to prepare Associates for many opportunities within Wesco. Associates will gain knowledge of warehouse and operations, gain exposure to creative selling strategies and overall business acumen, establish project management skills and gain product and industry knowledge, all while supporting and resolving issues for customers, managing customer's inventory and expanding their professional networks throughout Wesco. Associates work directly under the supervision of a senior member of the Customer Materials Management Team and are paired with a peer mentor (previous program graduate). Successful completion of the program results in a full-time position. Completing the program means that an Associate has successfully completed the entire twelve-month training program and its requirements. Your work is closely managed.
Responsibilities:
Provides support with project development from beginning to end. Provides on-site customer inventory data collection. Assists in digitization of customer data for sustainable end to end inventory management. Assists in defining project scope, goals and deliverables to support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Assists in developing full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. Effectively communicates project updates and progression to manager. Aligns activities with corporate goals around safety, quality, delivery and cost. Manages changes in project scope, identifies potential concerns, and devises contingency plans. Ensures actual inventory count and communicate with warehouse personnel. Supports e-commerce solutions. Obtains cross functional knowledge of different Wesco systems that support business activities.Qualifications:
Associates' Degree (U.S.)/College Diploma (Canada); Bachelors Degree- Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Distribution preferred Desire to build a career in Sales, Supply Chain, Operations or Business Business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation and production methods Ability to build effective business relationships with other functional areas to best support mutual objectives Team player mindset
- Interpersonal, conflict management and negotiation skills Excellent verbal, and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and product Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks Ability to travel local and national/international 25+% 0-2 years of experience working in B2B industrial distribution Internship in Sales, Supply Chain, Operations or Business 0-1 years of experience in a service, business, or sales-oriented role Ability to travel 25%•50%
Working Environment:
General Office- Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Outside Sales
