Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dealership Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and precision. In this role, you will oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service. Your expertise in supply chain management, supplier relations, and automotive diagnostics will drive efficiency and profitability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a vital component of our dealership's success while fostering a team-oriented environment committed to excellence. Duties Lead the planning, procurement, and inventory control of automotive parts using advanced ERP systems and order management software to optimize stock levels and reduce waste. Manage supplier relationships through negotiation, sourcing, and performance evaluation to secure quality parts at competitive prices. Oversee warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, storage, and equipment repair, ensuring compliance with safety standards and efficient workflow. Coordinate demand planning and pricing strategies to meet customer needs while maximizing margins. Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge and mechanical expertise to assist technicians with parts selection and troubleshooting issues. Maintain accurate data entry for inventory control, procurement records, and order processing within CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) platforms such as AS400 or similar systems. Supervise warehouse staff, including forklift operators, ensuring proper training in warehouse management, equipment operation, and safety procedures like HVAC maintenance when applicable. Implement logistics strategies for shipping & receiving that streamline operations and improve delivery times across the dealership network. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing internal departments' needs promptly and professionally. Monitor key performance indicators related to supply chain efficiency, inventory turnover, and procurement effectiveness to continuously improve department performance. Experience Proven experience in dealership or automotive parts management with a strong background in supply chain management, procurement, and inventory control. Familiarity with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts sourcing, auto body repair supplies, and automotive service processes. Knowledge of ERP systems such as AS400 or equivalent order management platforms; experience with CMMS is a plus. Hands-on experience with warehouse management including shipping & receiving procedures, forklift operation certification, and equipment repair oversight. Strong negotiation skills with suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics, auto body repair materials, HVAC systems, or similar technical fields is highly desirable. Excellent data entry skills combined with attention to detail for accurate record keeping in inventory management systems like SAP or similar platforms. Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a customer-focused environment rooted in collaboration and continuous improvement. $33,800.00 - $54,631.73 per year
