Head of Supply ChainJob Post SummaryOur Client is seeking a Head of Supply Chain to lead supply chain strategy and execution for advanced spacecraft systems. This hands on leadership role will oversee supplier strategy, procurement, long lead planning, and hardware readiness across multiple programs. The position will work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to support rapid development and reliable delivery of mission critical hardware. The ideal candidate brings significant aerospace, defense, spacecraft, aviation, robotics, or other high reliability hardware experience and has successfully managed complex suppliers and prototype to production programs. Job Roles and ResponsibilitiesOwn supply chain strategy across spacecraft hardware and productsLead supplier sourcing, qualification, negotiation, and vendor managementDrive procurement and long lead planning to support aggressive development schedulesPartner with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve manufacturability, scalability, and hardware readinessIdentify and mitigate supplier, production, material, and schedule risks before they impact program executionEstablish and improve processes for purchasing, inventory management, material planning, and production planningCoordinate material availability to support manufacturing, integration, and testing activitiesBuild and lead the supply chain organization as programs and production scaleServe as the primary operational authority for supply chain planning and execution across programsQualifications and CertificationsBachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field8 or more years of experience in aerospace, defense, spacecraft, aviation, robotics, or another high reliability hardware environmentDemonstrated experience managing complex suppliers, procurement activities, and hardware delivery schedulesStrong understanding of supply chain operations, production planning, and hardware lifecycle managementExperience supporting rapid development programs and prototype to production transitionsProven ability to work cross functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and program teamsExperience operating in fast paced, high accountability environmentsFamiliarity with ERP and MRP systems, purchasing workflows, and inventory management practicesStrong organizational, communication, negotiation, and execution skillsFamiliarity with aerospace quality standards, traceability requirements, DFARS, and ITAR environments preferredAbility to obtain or maintain a high level security clearance preferredBenefitsOpportunity to lead supply chain strategy for advanced spacecraft programsDirect involvement in the development and delivery of mission critical hardwareHigh impact leadership position with significant ownership over operational executionOpportunity to build and scale supply chain processes and teams as the organization growsAdditional InformationThis is a fully onsite position with no remote or hybrid arrangement.
