Project Manager
- Demand Planning ABB Inc.
This position reports to:
Planning & Fulfillment Manager __ ABB in Berlin, WI is hiring a Project Manager- Demand Planning supporting the Motion Drive Products Division. The Project Manager
- Demand planning will support the execution and coordination of large channel and OEM project orders for the Motion Drive Product Division to ensure successful on-time delivery, accurate demand forecasting, material flow and availability and seamless cross-functional collaboration in a high-growth business environment.
Your role and responsibilities:
Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables for large channel and OEM project opportunities while identifying and mitigating project risks proactively. Track project status through demand planning process and communicate regular updates to internal and external stakeholders. Work directly with Sr Demand Planner, Sales and Product Management to gather and validate project demand requirements and assist in developing accurate demand forecasts for assigned large-scale projects. Support monthly demand review processes and S&OP meetings and monitor actual versus planned demand and flag variances early to enable corrective action. Act as primary liaison between Planning and Fulfillment, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and customer teams. Resolve supply chain constraints and escalate critical issues promptly to management. Coordinate material availability and production scheduling with manufacturing teams. Maintain accurate project documentation and records in planning systems (ERP, CRM), tracking and reporting on project financial performance and margin analysis. Prepare reports and analyses on project performance metrics and KPIs and support forecasting tools and systems with data integrity and process improvements. Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of experience in supply chain, project management, or demand planning roles. Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with ERP/planning systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities with large data sets and related tools (Power BI, Tableau or Similar). Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with channel/distribution partner or OEM business models. Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar). APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP). Experience in industrial manufacturing or electrical equipment industry. Knowledge of demand planning software and statistical forecasting methods.
