This individual will focus on strengthening day-to-day operations, developing teams, and implementing disciplined, system-driven processes that improve inventory visibility, planning, and execution. The ideal candidate is a practical people leader who can bring structure to a growing organization while leveraging ERP technology and operational data to improve performance. This role is a hybrid model in McMinnville, Oregon. Director of Supply Chain Responsibilities Lead warehouse operations, production planning, inventory management, material planning, logistics, and related supply chain activities within a manufacturing environment. Manage and develop warehouse and supply chain teams by establishing clear expectations, strengthening accountability, and improving collaboration across functions. Establish and optimize system-based inventory management, warehouse, and planning processes to improve visibility, accuracy, consistency, and operational control. Guide production and material planning activities to balance customer demand, manufacturing capacity, inventory requirements, and material availability. Oversee inventory control practices, including inventory accuracy, material movement, storage, replenishment, and finished goods management. Partner closely with Production, Customer Service, and other operational teams to identify constraints, establish priorities, and maintain effective material and product flow. Drive effective utilization of ERP and inventory management technology, reducing dependence on spreadsheets and manual processes. Oversee warehousing, transportation, and fulfillment activities with an emphasis on safety, reliability, efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer service. Establish and monitor supply chain and warehouse performance measures, using operational data to identify issues, improve decision-making, and strengthen performance. Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning, inventory management, warehouse operations, and overall supply chain effectiveness. Director of Supply Chain Qualifications 5-10 years of progressive supply chain experience within manufacturing, with significant responsibility for warehouse operations, planning, inventory management, and people leadership. Demonstrated experience leading and developing warehouse and supply chain teams, including establishing accountability, improving performance, and managing day-to-day operations. Strong experience with production planning, MRP, inventory control, warehouse management, material flow, and logistics. Hands-on experience establishing, improving, or implementing inventory management and supply chain processes within an ERP or comparable enterprise system. Proficiency with Oracle, SAP, or another robust ERP/inventory management platform is required; SAP experience is preferred but not required. Proven ability to move organizations toward system-driven processes and effectively utilize ERP data rather than relying primarily on spreadsheets or manual tracking. Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and the relationship between planning, inventory, warehouse activities, production requirements, and customer demand. Proven ability to collaborate across departments, solve operational challenges, and create alignment among teams with competing priorities. Strong analytical, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate operational data into practical improvements. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field. Experience within food, consumer products, process manufacturing, or another regulated manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience improving warehouse processes, inventory systems, operational workflows, or supply chain technology is preferred.
APICS/ASCM
certification or an advanced degree in a related discipline is preferred.
Salary:
$150K-$175K/year + Bonus.
