Warehouse / Production Facility What You'll Do The Receiving Manager is responsible for overseeing all incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper documentation of goods received. This role manages receiving staff, maintains inventory integrity, and ensures compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Supervise and coordinate daily receiving operations, including scheduling deliveries and unloading shipments Verify incoming goods against purchase orders for accuracy, quantity, and condition Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues to vendors or management Maintain accurate records of received goods using inventory management systems Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of inventory in the warehouse Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics teams to streamline operations Train, supervise, and evaluate receiving staff performance Enforce safety procedures and compliance with company and regulatory standards Monitor and improve receiving processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness Handle returns, rejected shipments, and vendor communication
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree preferred) 3-5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or receiving operations Previous supervisory or management experience preferred Strong knowledge of inventory systems and warehouse procedures Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts) as required Strong communication and leadership abilities
Working Conditions:
Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
